Terms of service

Last updated 6 September 2026

These terms apply to your use of The Works, the service at theworks.now, provided by MEER LABS, Inc. (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to them.

What The Works is

The Works gives you AI agents that carry out tasks for you: reading and drafting messages, doing research, working on computers we run for you, and using the apps you connect. The agents act on your instructions and, for anything that leaves in your name, ask for your approval first. You remain responsible for what you approve and for what you ask the agents to do.

Your account

You need an account to use the service. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else is using it. You must be at least 18 and use the service for lawful purposes only.

Connected apps and computers

When you connect an app (for example email or a calendar) you authorise the agents to use it on your behalf, within the scope you grant. Each agent's computer is a cloud desktop we provision for your workspace. Do not use it to attack other systems, send unsolicited bulk messages, mine cryptocurrency or store unlawful content. We may suspend computers that do.

Payment

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. When a month runs past what your plan holds, you can top it up from Settings, at the price shown there; extra usage does not expire. Prices in euros include VAT; prices in dollars have sales tax added where it applies. Stripe sells plans and extra usage as our reseller (merchant of record, shown as Link): it charges you, sends receipts and invoices, and handles payment questions and refunds. A larger plan starts right away, charged pro rata for the rest of the period; a smaller plan starts with the next period. You can cancel at any time; the plan runs until the end of the paid period.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to harm others, to break the law, to impersonate someone, or to circumvent the approval steps built into the product. We may suspend or end accounts that do.

AI output

The agents make mistakes. Check what matters before you rely on it, and read every draft before you approve it. We do not guarantee that any output is accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or data loss caused by third-party services.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will announce material changes in the product at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam.
